I recently got the opportunity to review a personalized story book for children,
The First Adventures of Incredible You, by Sarah Riley Headrick and Sarah Foreman Rivera from Custom Made For Kids.
The book is a hardback book that is wonderfully illustrated with vibrant colors and scenes to depict the particular storyline for that page.
Each book is uniquely written with your child's name as the main character and is perfect for ages 0-8. What child wouldn't love reading a story about himself or herself with the family included in it?
Upon receiving the book, I proceeded to read through it myself to get the general feel for the book. It wasn't long though before a couple of my children spotted me with a new book in my hand and came over to investigate it over my shoulder. Of course I had to stop and go back to the beginning to read it aloud for them. They loved it! I did too!
The pages in the book are set in themes that you determine the names and places for. This unique aspect of the book will familiarize your child with his surroundings as well as places you visit.
I know that this book is going to be a treasure for my son, Thomas, who turns one on October 3rd. The book was written with him as the main character. My two youngest readers, ages 8 and 7, are sure to read it to their brother a few times as well. In fact, they are sitting on the couch now reading it to their two younger sisters who are just as enthralled with the book because their names are in it.
You can purchase your own personalized story book,
The First Adventures of Incredible You, from Custom Made For Kids. Their website is very user friendly and you will be taken through each step for the pages to be included in the book. Just have some family member name in mind and you will be set to go.
Give your child, grandchild, niece, nephew, or family friend a gift that they will treasure for life. These books would make excellent birthday or Christmas presents as well as special rewards for learning how to read or participating in a reading challenge.
